The Sanctuary of Truth
The Sanctuary of Truth is not only a replica of an ancient art, but also power of contemporary creation. It has searched for proper things from different cultures, and mixed with traditions of past, giving rise to the new fine arts. The parts emerging from its foundation are all built of wood, to meet the intention of constructing the real “Wooden Sanctuary” From the ground breaking in 1981. The objective was to build a wooden structure, in order to preserve and revive Ancient Knowledge. Owing to our history’s evidences from the 17th century, Thai artists could build a wooden structure of more than one hundred meters high or equal to twenty – storey modern building. Building “The Sanctuary Of Truth” was not only for its loftiness, but also the idea was turned into wooden carvings of gods and goddesses and elaborately beautiful designs. From various forms of art, no matter what nationality or religion they are, to reflect thoughts and spirits of eastern cultures and announce to the world the complete and long – standing profundity. The truth that was shown through the Sanctuary is the relationship between human beings and the universe, Which are the father, the mother, the earth, the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars. They are not just fantasies, but the truth of being human that eastern philosophers had searched for and discovered from time immemorial.
